Japan – blog 2

I will keep this pretty short.

It is an amazing country, seeing my son is fantastic, the travel was tough but absolutely fine and the airlines/airports were excellent.

Seeing my son

Magical! Simple as!

Japan

Fascinating. So far we have seen Hiroshima and an island next to it. It is the culture that fascinates. Quiet, structured, peaceful, welcome, generous, delicate. The absolute opposite of home. See these kids in the photo in Hiroshima and imagine Israeli kids…..

The Bullet Train

Amazing and unbelievably smooth

The other surprise is that although the car companies make cars for the whole world they seem to make a completely different set here and I have fallen in love with them- cute is not the word. They are simply about 40% of cars from what I see.

The travel

Thankfully in business class it was fine. Each transfer was smooth and in Bangkok the walker was delivered to the door of the plane.

In Osaka a wheelchair took me through the airport to the suitcases where the walker was delivered.

All smooth!

The travel was hard and long and yesterday I found the last hour of the tour very tough and was dragging my feet but with rest was ok.

In short – Amazing

Today – Nara and then Shabbat which I have cooked for already.

Ps. The one inside joke is that in the Thai International amenity kit is a … shoehorn!!!

Hello! I am Ben Lazarus

Originally diagnozed with Parkinson’s it has sadly turned into PSP a more aggressive cousin. I am 50 and have recently retired but enough of the sob story – I am a truly blessed person who would not swap with anyone on the planet, principally because I have the best wife and kids in the world (I am of course completely objective :-)). Anyway I am recording via the Blog my journey as therapy to myself, possibly to give a glimpse into my life for others who deal with similar situations and of course those who know me.
