Boring is Just What I Want

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Boring is boring. Surely there is nothing to write about. Why would I write about nothing?

But a night and a day of quiet is actually a headline worth mentioning.

Quiet for me, for my wife, for my daughter and for my carer.

I truly have very little to say from the weekend, and I realised that this is actually a very good thing. I would happily take many more days like this.

I could talk about all the things that did not happen and drag out the awfulness of PSP, but that story has already been told.

There were no dramas worth recounting, no unexpected setbacks, no fresh crisis demanding attention. Instead, there was simply a quiet weekend.

The strange thing about PSP is that, over time, boring becomes something to hope for.

When you live with PSP, it is easy to focus on the challenges because they are always there. They deserve to be acknowledged, but they do not need repeating every time I sit down to write.

Sometimes the best news is that there is no news.

So this is a short blog, but a sweet one.

Lulls often come in short bursts, but this one is more than welcome. Days like these do not come along often enough.

For now, I will happily take boring.
