A short and basically positive update on the last 4 weeks – stress down, sleep up, body battery up!
Garmin is not the be-all of science, but it is interesting. I decided this morning to look at the data from my Garmin watch over the last month*. You won’t need to be a statistician to see that there is a big improvement in the three measures: reduced stress, improved sleep, and my overall body battery. I’ll take it.
I drastically reduced work to try to force a major change, and this was the number one request of my neurologist. I am pleased to see that it is happening. It is also good to see that my sleep is improving, although the current high of 4 hours needs to improve significantly, but it is in the right direction. (And stopped myself driving because of stress and guilt).
On steps per day and intensity minutes, it is not enough at the moment, and I need this to be my main focus for the next month. On some mornings, it has been impossible to walk, and most afternoons.
I hope next month marks another step forward.
I can’t do much to stop the progression of the disease, and no doubt it is progressing, especially with my gait, my eyes, and some behavioral effects. But the things in this graph are in my control, and it was a good month.
Much to do.
My call to action is that people also consider this exercise to review their stats – I think it is helpful.
*For full disclosure, I don’t wear it on the Jewish Sabbath, so I have excluded a few dates.
