It Was Worth It

I always said to myself and my family and friends that there would be consequences to stretching myself to lead the prayers on the Jewish New Year.

There were! I had nerve pain for the first time in ages, have been incredibly tired and, worst of all, my eyelids have closed twice for long periods.

As the week has gone on, I have got back into the rhythm of yoga and exercise and, bit by bit, am becoming a little more myself.

The extra pressure I put myself under was worth it.

It is not an approach I would recommend to everyone, but I am so pleased I took on the challenge and that, hopefully, it was rewarding for more than just me.

I am not sure what my next challenge will be, but it has to grab my attention, be achievable using the skills I have and be something I can undertake alone.

Life itself with PSP is a major challenge, but I am grateful to G-d for the opportunity and for allowing me to see it through.

I wish everyone a good weekend and Shabbat Shalom.
