I think I ran the saddest and possibly most monotonous run of recent times….5k indoors at 3am at home.
My 5k indoors at 3am was not so fast because of the need to watch where I was going more actively than running outside and because of space limitations, but at 45 or 46 paces a lap around the downstairs (kitchen and lounge) I slow ran 5k in 45 minutes.
This picture below is possibly the clearest articulation of my current state of PD which overall is very good.
As I wrote two months ago, the extra half a pill 4 times a day has made and continues to make a huge impact on my health. Although I have felt the return a little of the symptoms (some minor balance and tremor) I am in excellent shape relatively physically and cognitively thankfully but my sleep is still a real problem.
With a minor extreme blip last week when I was feeling ill travelling when I somehow slept for 9 hours my average is low and I haven’t found the solution yet despite trying most things but I have found the way to cope (sort of).
So of course you are probably wondering why I am running inside? Probably because it is 3am and 25 degrees Celsius outside and doesn’t feel that embracing and I don’t particularly like the treadmill.
From a quick google it seems I have not invented a new category in the sport and I am not advocating it for others – as one website says: “Running through the house isn’t realistic (or safe!), but running on the spot is simple and effective.”
But I will try to keep on with the daily exercise and now it is off to yoga…
Have a good day and hope to keep updating you on my largely positive fight with PD.
