The weekly roundup for anyone who can’t possibly keep up with all my posts. Even I struggle.
The week’s highlights
Despite PSP, life keeps on giving. I had the privilege of meeting the lovely parents of my son’s girlfriend, and I celebrated my daughter’s excellent Talmud test result. We studied for it together, so I’m claiming a small share.
I also caught up with friends from the UK, won (and lost) at chess, received a beautiful message from a reader, and exercised my right to vote.
The PSP report (I can’t forget the context of this blog)
Pain, exhaustion, and the usual symptoms, all fighting for attention. Then there’s the one beginning with C. Like Voldemort, He Who Must Not Be Named. Not today, anyway.
The good news? I think I’ve finally got the upper hand over him. Medication, fluids, yoga, deep breathing, and relaxation. It’s only taken me six years to learn that panicking doesn’t help.
My four chosen posts of the week
- Most personal: PSP Almost Stole a Perfect Day. Family happiness triumphs over PSP.
Read it in: English | עברית - Most humorous (for PSP): My PSP Awards. An awards ceremony nobody wants to win.
Read it in: English | עברית - My philosophy: I’m Positive. Don’t Confuse My Suffering with Negativity. Suffering and positivity can coexist.
Read it in: English | עברית - Most realistic: PSP: Frightened, but Still Flying. PSP’s progression is frightening. I’m still flying, with preparation, gratitude, prayer, and humour.

Bonus: Version 2 of My Journey with PSP, the full collection of my blogs, is now on Amazon.
The verdict?
Despite some terrible symptoms, it’s been a good week. Not because PSP has been kind, but because life has.
This Shabbat, the whole family is together, including my new son-in-law.
PSP won a few battles this week. But I’ve checked the scoreboard, and I’m still winning.
Shabbat Shalom!
